Classes at the Leiden Law School, the Faculty of Humanities, and the Faculty of Sciences will begin in February.
Prizes offered at Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Program
The LExS does not offer complete financial aid. Non-EEA LExS holders still need to show “evidence of sufficient money” with their applications for a student visa or a residence permit.
Three prizes are offered by the Leiden University Excellence Scholarship program which includes:
- The tuition charge of € 10,000
- The tuition fee of € 15,000
- The total tuition price is less than the mandatory tuition fee.
Eligibility Status
To be eligible for this scholarship program, students must have received top grades in their prior coursework that are related to the Master’s degree they are applying for. The fact that the student graduated in the top 10% of his or her prior study program is evidence of this.
Note that this information is just provided to show the level of competition; verification of ranking is not necessary. Except for students applying for the LLM Advanced Studies programs or the MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy, for which there are no nationality restrictions, applicants must have a non-EEA/non-EFTA* passport and may not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans (Studiefinanciering).
