The Clarendon Scholarship is a significant graduate program by the University of Oxford. This scholarship program awards about 140 new scholarships annually. Clarendon Scholarships are given out at the graduate level at the University of Oxford based on academic performance in all degree-bearing areas.
The Clarendon Scholarships fully pay all college expenses, including tuition. A substantial yearly payment for living expenses is awarded to scholars enrolled full-time in courses; for 2023–24, this amount will be at least £17,668.
Alongside these, a study assistance grant will be given to scholars enrolled in part-time courses to help with non-fee expenses. Typically, the scholarships are awarded for the entire time that you are required to pay for tuition fees to the University, which is usually the same as the length of your course.
Eligibility for the Clarendon Scholarship
Graduate students worldwide are eligible to apply for Clarendon Scholarships, which are given out based on exceptional academic performance. Candidates who apply by the January admissions deadline for a new master’s or DPhil course are eligible for scholarships available in all academic areas.
You will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship if you apply by the deadline in December or January for a full- or part-time master’s or Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) program at Oxford.
There is no separate application form for the Clarendon Scholarships, thus you do not need to submit any extra paperwork for it. However, if you want to be considered for your course, you must apply by December 2023 January 5, or January 19, 2024.
