About the Job:
- The post holder carries out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse.
- To assist the nursing staff in the care of the patient and reporting any concerns to the Registered Nurse.
- To work as an integrated member of the team, assisting with nursing procedures according to agreed policies
- To maintain the patient’s dignity and self-respect at all times and achieving a high standard of care
- To be aware of the Health and Safety aspects of staff and patients
- To be able to work autonomously at times within the unit as required
- Following appropriate instruction organise own day to day work tasks and activities
- Learn from the patient experience to constantly drive up standards is paramount.
- The post holder will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of care is deliveredand will constantly promote: patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient’s journey
