About the Job:
- Accountable within the theatre team to ensure that the standard of patient care is of a high level, quality being of prime importance.
- To adhere to and practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council’s standards. Ensure adherence to agreed trust policies.
- The position is primarily a theater scrub practitioner, although some rotation and flexibility will be required to meet service needs.
- The post-holder will be called upon, occasionally, to take charge of the unit/area.
- The post holder will be expected to participate in internal rotation, weekends, unsocial hours, and on-call duties.
- The post holder will be part of a clinical team to ensure that clinical care of patients and others using the service receives an efficient and quality service.
- The post offers the opportunity to further develop clinical and non-clinical skills within the team.
- They will also be encouraged to take other lead roles within the team.
- Uphold the Trust’s values and behaviours, maintaining public and colleague confidence.
- Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each person he/she meets.
- Uphold the privacy and dignity of the patient and always respect the equality of patients.
