ETC Surgery at the Manchester Royal infirmary of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a suitably experienced surgical nurse who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to patients with head and neck-related concerns, from ENT to Maxillo-facial, as we receive patients postoperatively following elective surgery. We strive to provide an outstanding service to all our patients.
- You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives, and colleagues.
- You will assist the ward manager with the operational management of the team working on the ward.
- You will be able to develop a culture of continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.

- The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate, and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process.
- Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students.
- The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis
