About the Job:
- The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across health and wellbeing and across fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care, and support to people of all ages.
- Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to their area of employment and will work to the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Work as a member of the multi professional team providing clinical care to patients in clinic settings.
- Ensure the highest standard of patient-centred care.
- Promote self-management of health needs and adopt a positive risk based care approach.
- Carry out all relevant forms of care, without direct supervision, and may be required to demonstrate simple procedures to registered and/or non-registered staff undertaking training where agreed with the nursing team.
- You will work independently, as well as be able to work within a team.
- You will be expected to work with a cohort of patients with acute and/or chronic respiratory conditions.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate your care.
- Develop skills, to include recording and interpreting vital signs, venepuncture, cannulation, catheterization, wound care, spirometry, lung functions, non-invasive ventilation, intercostal chest drains, health promotion, and much more.
