About the Job:
Clinical Leadership and Management:- Lead the nursing team in delivering high standards of patient care.- Manage daily operations, including staff allocation, patient admissions, and discharge planning.- Assist the Ward Manager in the effective running of the ward in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Health Based Place of Safety:
– Act as Nurse in Charge including taking referrals, completing admissions and discharges, liaising with AMHP services and Blue Light Line.
Patient Care:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ needs and develop individualized care plans.
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients’ responses.
– Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure that their dignity and privacy are maintained.
Team Development:
– Mentor and support junior nurses, healthcare assistants, and student nurses.
– Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
Risk Management and Safety:
– Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate interventions.
– Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
– Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
– Collaborate with doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
– Foster effective communication within the team and with patients’ families.
