About the Job:
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting patients with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, toileting, and maintaining dignity at all times.
- Supporting patients with eating and drinking, encouraging independence where possible and monitoring nutritional intake.
- Assisting with the safe mobilization and transfer of patients using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Supporting patients who may be confused, distressed, or living with dementia by providing reassurance, effective communication, and compassionate care.
- Assisting with pressure area care and supporting measures to prevent falls and maintain patient safety.
- Working in partnership with patients, families, and carers, treating everyone with kindness, respect, and dignity.
- Accurately documenting care provided and communicating effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhering to trust policies, infection prevention and control standards, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Participating in training, supervision, and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
