About the Job:
Main duties of the role include:
- To contribute to the delivery of excellent care and the efficient running in Ward 9 & SAU.
- To deliver care in a manner sensitive to the individual patient’s needs and wishes, acknowledging and respecting their confidentiality, rights, and beliefs always.
- To undertake extended skills as expected of Trust healthcare assistants working at band 3.
- To ensure a positive patient experience, as first point of contact by providing a welcoming, helpful, and supportive environment.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to have a good understanding of the complex needs of surgical patients.
- Undertaking appropriate administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the ward department.
- Providing hands on care to support patient’s recovery and wellbeing.
- Having excellent communication skills to escalate any concerns you have to the nurse in charge of the shift.
