About the Job:
- To work in all sections of the pharmacy department, as well as with partner organisations on a rotational basis under the management of the section manager and be fully trained in these areas by the section manager.
- These areas include trust operational teams, mental health services, in-patients, dispensary, homecare services, medicines information, aseptic department and chemotherapy satellite unit.
- To clinically assess patients’ medication charts on a daily basis on a designated ward, obtain accurate medication histories, assess discharge prescriptions and participate in discharge planning for all patients on designated ward.
- To clinically assess and dispense prescriptions in all sections of the department including TPN, Chemotherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals according to standard operating procedures and policies.
- To provide a final check on prescriptions dispensed by pharmacy technicians, assistants and pharmacy students.
