The services for older people are looking to recruit registered nurses who have a passion for working with older people.  You will be working in one of our units dedicated to dementia care where high standards of person-centred care are essential.  With our recently launched Island-wide Dementia Framework, we are striving to make our island Dementia Friendly so that our older population feels valued and is treated with the dignity and respect that they so rightly deserve.

We have a comprehensive service for Older People experiencing dementia. There are four in-patient centers (including an assessment ward through to the later stages of an individual’s experience of dementia) as well as Day Services. Within the Community, the team consists of one team leader,  one clinical nurse specialist, four community psychiatric nurses,  one occupational therapist, and two community support workers.

This team also carries out a memory clinic service undertaking specialist testing leading to a possible diagnosis.
