About the Job:
Clinical Responsibilities:
- To assess, implement and evaluate individualised patient care needs of those patients within any area of Day Surgery unit utilising research findings as appropriate.
- To establish a close working relationship with colleagues and other staff working in the unit,; Ward, Recovery, Operating Theatres, Trauma, Surgical Admissions.
- To carry out all nursing procedures and practices as recommended by the Trust and to adhere to local policies as laid down in the Day Surgery Unit.
- To maintain competency in all required areas of Day Surgery care.
- To maintain legible and accurate nursing records and care plans in accordance with current practice and ensure confidentiality in record keeping.
- To promote and maintain effective, up to date communication with patients, relatives, colleagues and all other members of the MDT.
- To promote patients’ health and education.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
