About the Job:
- To ensure excellent patient care by planning and implementing the relevant procedures to meet the individual needs of the patients attending the outpatient department and maintaining patient records accordingly.
- Be responsible for the assessment of care needs for the patients attending the Outpatients department, including the development, implementation and evaluation of care.
- This role will predominantly encompass supporting our busy Trauma clinics, which operates 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. This post will involve working within the plaster room environment once training has been completed and competence has been achieved.
- Support the medical teams within their clinics, carrying out all care appropriate to their grade and competency. To contribute to the effective running of clinics, liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Actively contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice and to act as a mentor for pre and post registration students.
- The post holder must be aware of the individuals responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act and identify and report, as necessary any untoward incident or accident or potentially hazardous environment.
