About the Job:
As a registered children’s nurse with post-preceptorship experience in the UK, you will support the Fracture clinic team in all areas of the adult clinic—including the trauma clinics, elective clinics, plaster rooms, and virtual fracture clinic. Providing a high standard of care to children, young persons, and adults.
Support the plaster technicians in the adult & children’s plaster rooms and in delivering the plaster room outreach service across the inpatient areas. Develop your skills in various plastering techniques and attend the British Orthopaedic Casting Course to achieve the British Casting Certificate qualification.
Act as point of contact for any concerns relating to paediatric patients in the adult environment, e.g., medication, safeguarding, wound management, and treatments.
Work with the team using UHCWi methodology to continuously improve the services provided.
Take responsibility for the co-ordination of shifts—communicating with patients, carers, staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team on the day to ensure the smooth running of clinics and patient pathways.
