About the Job:
The post holder will be responsible for delivering safe, effective nursing care within a general practice setting. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Management of longterm conditions (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Cervical screening
- Wound care, dressings and removal of sutures
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice
- Supporting QOF, enhanced services and chronic disease reviews
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records
- Working collaboratively with GPs, HCAs, pharmacists and the wider practice team
- Adhering to practice policies, clinical governance and infection control procedures
