About the Job:
The Patient Safety Specialist, Risk & Governance Lead Midwife will work collaboratively with the greater team, including the DOM, HOM, Maternity Safety Champions, Consultant Obstetricians, Deputy Heads of Midwifery, and Consultant Midwife, to ensure effective communication systems are in place for shared learning that optimizes excellent standards of care and compliance with national and local standards.
The post holder will be the lead contact for safety, risk, and governance responsibilities and will be expected to prepare and present assurance papers based on elements of safety, risk, and governance to the Maternity and Neonatal Safety Committee and in turn to the Trust Board on trust compliance in relation to national reports, governance, and compliance. The postholder will also be required to present similar information and assurance, representing the Maternity Service and Trust, at regional meetings such as the Local Maternity and Neonatal Systems (LMNS).
