About the Job:
As a nursing associate within the emergency department, you will:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses.
- Support the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Monitor and record observations, recognising and escalating patient deterioration appropriately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and comfort.
- Undertake a range of clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Support patient flow through the department, assisting with admissions, transfers, investigations, and discharge processes.
- Promote patient safety, dignity, safeguarding, and infection prevention standards.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, and support services to ensure effective patient care.
