– Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and primary care conditions autonomously.
– Take comprehensive patient histories, undertake clinical examinations, and interpret clinical information to support diagnosis and management decisions.
– Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, including discharge, referral, or escalation of care as appropriate.
– Work closely with colleagues across the Emergency Department and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
– Perform advanced clinical procedures and interventions within the scope of practice.
– Promote health education, wellbeing and preventative care for patients.
– Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior staff, students and trainees.
– Contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
– Participate in teaching, mentorship, audit, research and the development of clinical guidelines and pathways.
– Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure care is delivered in line with Trust policies, professional standards and evidence-based practice.
