About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical, professional, and managerial leadership for all staff groups in all areas of safeguarding, with a strong focus on maternity.
• Taking a professional lead on all aspects of the Maternity Service contribution to safeguarding.
• Assessing the fulfillment of statutory responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and taking action where those responsibilities are not met.
• Contributing to the PREVENT agenda.
• Leading on the design and delivery of training in relation to safeguarding within maternity.
• Leading on the design and delivery of supervision models within maternity.
• Supporting the divisional team to deliver its commitments to safeguarding within maternity.
• Ensuring effective and collaborative working with our multi-agency partners.
• Role modelling best practice in relation to safeguarding and challenging professionally where required to ensure that outcomes are the best that can be achieved.
