About the Job:
Responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care across the maternity role includes:
- Delivering high-quality care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal.
- Support women and families to make informed choices through personalized care, informed choice, and shared decision-making.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and seamless care.
- Recognizing and escalating clinical concerns appropriately to support the safety, etc., of women and babies.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and incident learning activities to improve services.
- Support education and development of students, newly qualified midwives, and colleagues.
- Participate in rotation working across maternity, contributing to delivery of 24-hour service.
- Service operates 24/7 all year.
- Participate in shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- May also be needed for on-call rota, providing support within designated areas during periods of escalation/increased demand, with support available through on-call management.
- Must be a current UK NMC Registered Midwife or be due to qualify (in the next six months) from an approved UK midwifery program.
- Should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to evidence-based practice, and ability to work effectively both independently and part of MDT.
