About the Job:
What you will do:
- Be an advocate for public health surrounding vaccination programs for pregnant patients and their families.
- Work in the Maternity Services Vaccination clinic, safely delivering whooping cough and seasonal flu vaccinations.
- Provide relevant advice and health promotion information to pregnant people attending the clinic.
- Work flexibly as required across all areas of the Maternity Services locally in delivering an effective vaccination service.
- Support the service in any COVID vaccination programs. Provide support to the peer vaccination program as required.
What we are looking for:
- A registered midwife educated to degree level or with evidence of recent equivalent experience or education.
- Have recent NHS experience as a band 6 midwife for at least 2 years. Willingness to learn and contribute to the development of the service.
- An interest in the public health agenda for maternity.
- An interest in the recommended vaccination program for maternity.
- An empathetic, caring manner. A good listener and articulate communicator. Flexibility.
