About the Job:
- Passionate about midwifery? Do you want to use all of your midwifery skills? Then Powys maternity services may well be the place for you.
- Due to exciting developments within the maternity service, we are looking for a motivated midwife to join our midwifery team in Ystradgynlais.
- You will be joining a service with one of the highest home birth rates in Wales, a high physiological birth rate, and the highest breastfeeding rate in Wales. You will be supporting women choosing to birth at one of our 6 freestanding birth centers.
- You will provide and coordinate antenatal and postnatal care for both midwife-led and consultant-led women.
- As a service, we are passionate about supporting midwives’ ongoing professional development and the opportunity to access award-winning training during your employment.
- We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers, but even if you don’t speak any Welsh or want to develop your skills, don’t worry: the health board will support you with training.
