About the Job:
There is significant emphasis on multi-disciplinary working and the ability to work as an individual as well as a team member.
You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans which ensure delivery of holistic, evidence-based care which prioritises communication, informed consent and relationship building. You will work closely with our wider multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
Some of your duties will be:
- Assessing and advising on the needs of women, birthing people and families.
- Providing emotional support during all stages of pregnancy, labour and postnatal care.
- Planning, delivering and evaluating standards of evidence-based midwifery care.
- Identifying and caring for women with more complex pregnancies.
- Providing interventions and key messages around Public Health including infant feeding
- Recognising deterioration in the in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action/ escalation and managing emergencies.
