About the Job:
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Clinical Tasks: Undertaking expanded practice such as taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), blood glucose monitoring, wound observations, and simple dressings.
- Personal Care: Assisting patients with washing, dressing, mobility, and extended personal hygiene needs. [1, 2]
- Nutrition & Hydration: Serving meals, assisting patients with feeding, and strictly monitoring/documenting fluid balance charts and dietary intake.
- Post-Operative Support: Monitoring patients post-surgery, maintaining nursing records, and removing cannulas and catheters as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Ward Support: Clearing and preparing bed spaces for new admissions, disposing of clinical waste, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
