About the Job:
- The Associate Chief Nurse/Associate AHP works in partnership with the Associate Medical Director and Associate Director of Unplanned Care Group. The three roles have operational accountability for the workforce, service delivery, clinical quality and safety and financial control, and the implementation of the corporate objectives and Trust’s strategy within the division.
- Together as a team the post holders will be responsible for defining care group objectives to meet corporate goals and ensuring that quality standards are met, and performance addressed where this is not the case.
- The Associate Chief Nurse/Associate AHP is specifically accountable for the delivery and performance of the nursing / therapy staff within the care group. Ensuring compliance with standards of care and treatment meet the requirements of Care Quality Commission standards.
- The Associate Chief Nurse/ Associate AHP also has lead responsibility for clinical governance in the care group. This includes infection control, risk management and the management of serious incidents and complaints, ensuring that action plans are completed and that the care groups learn from such events.
- The Associate Chief Nurse/Associate AHP has a clinical leadership role in relation to nursing / AHP staff within the care groups, creating an environment which promotes and supports high standards of clinical and professional practice, resulting in high quality patient care.
