About the Job:
Skyword is seeking talented freelance writers or subject matter experts with a veterinary background with an expertise in creating content geared towards pet owners (cats and dogs) who want to learn more about their pets, their dietary needs, symptoms or health issues, and pet care. Writers must be veterinarians, skilled at creating content for pet owners.
The veterinary writer will likely be tasked with creating 3-4 articles per month through the end of 2025, with the potential to extend through 2026.
We are seeking the following skills and expertise:
- 1–2 years of writing experience
- Content types include partial rewrites of existing content, full rewrites of existing content, long form articles, short form articles, and breed-specific overview pages
- Content should be optimistic, caring, relatable, friendly, welcoming, and educational but understandable by the average person. The goal is to make more complex topics easy to understand and accurate, while gearing content to younger audiences, new pet owners, and pet parents looking to learn more
