About the Job:
Job responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and promote effective professional working relationships with other disciplines and members of the Occupational Therapy Team.
- Be responsible for managing a clinical caseload from assessment to discharge/transfer of care within defined protocols, in order to facilitate a timely and safe discharge from hospital.
- To liaise with Social Services, NHS Community Occupational Therapists and other community agencies with regard to provision of equipment, treatment and/or support for patients on discharge.
- To be aware of medical and therapeutic developments affecting the Occupational Therapist’s role.
- Carry out all professional duties in accordance with the code of professional conduct as issued by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists
