As a Healthcare Assistant at our Sidcup dialysis clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care following Diaverum procedures, ultimately improving our patients’ quality of life. We’re committed to your professional growth and will provide comprehensive training, including on-the-job training, e-learning, and access to our in-house education program, ‘d Academy.’
Your Responsibilities
Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining clean equipment following proper training
• Preparing supplies and packs for treatment
• Conducting health checks with patients before and after dialysis
• Escorting patients to clinical and waiting areas
• Serving refreshments during treatments
Our Requirements
• Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferably working towards level 3)
• Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care
• Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English
What We Offer
• Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Saturday, with shift hours from 6:30 am to 11 pm (please note there are no nights or Sunday working)
• Competitive Salary of up to £24,474 depending on experience plus location allowance
• Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks)
