About the Job:
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Conducting observations, monitoring, and accurately recording patients’ conditions, including vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, blood glucose, weight)
• Performing phlebotomy (blood taking) for diagnostic purposes
• Conducting new patient health checks and NHS Health Checks
• Performing Electrocardiograms (ECGs)
• Administering routine injections, such as B12, flu, and pneumonia, following appropriate training and within scope of practice
• Providing basic wound care and assisting with suture/clip removal
• Preparing and maintaining clinical rooms and equipment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and infection control
• Processing and preparing laboratory samples for collection
• Maintaining patient health records and updating information as required
• Providing health promotion advice and emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring effective communication
