About the Job:
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting women undergoing breast assessments with professionalism and care
- Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity and privacy at all times
- Assisting clinicians before, during, and after procedures
- Providing reassurance and post-procedure support to patients
- Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment
- Keeping accurate records while upholding confidentiality standards
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment in line with health and safety policies
What were looking for:
- A caring, professional, and empathetic approach to patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- The ability to support patients in distress with sensitivity
- Basic IT skills and an understanding of data protection
- An interest in womens health
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme
- NVQ qualification (or willingness to undertake)
- Understanding of health promotion
