What Is the Canon Foundation Japan-Africa Scholarship?

This program is designed to support researchers from Africa who wish to conduct research stays in Japan for up to 12 months. The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen academic collaboration between Japan and Africa.

Fields of study are open, but research proposals should be relevant to Japan-Africa partnerships. Past fellows have worked in areas such as health sciences, agriculture, engineering, social sciences, and more.

Eligibility Criteria

·       Two reference letters (one academic; one from your host institution)

·       Curriculum Vitae and degree certificate

·       Passport photo and list of publications or achievements
