About the Job:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our team in Carrickfergus.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in spinal injury support or a strong understanding of spinal injuries and autonomic dysreflexia. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a full UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
Pay Rate: £16.00 week days
£17.70 for Waking nights and weekends
Working Hours:
- Day or Night Shift (12 hours)
- 08.00-20.00 and 20.00-08.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with personalised routines.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Keep accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of spinal injury is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Flexibility to work the required shifts.
- Full UK driver’s license.
