About the Job:
- Accept delegation from other nurses, prioritise own workload and ensure effective time management
- Undertake measurement of height and weight
- Undertake dressings with training/supervision from senior colleagues
- Involvement in running Spirometry clinics (training course attended)
- Carry out urinalysis
- Blood tests for vulnerable patients only
- Glucose Tolerance tests
- Stitch removal
- Memory tests
- Assisting with Coil fittings
- Learning disability clinic
- B12, Pneumo, Shingles and Flu vaccines
- Undertake measurement of blood pressure, temperature and pulse
- Assisting with minor operations clinic
- To document clear and precise records of care given in line with practice requirements
- Maintain set standards of organisation in treatment rooms and take appropriate action is standards are not being met
- Maintaining tidiness of stock room
- To complete daily check list and monthly check list to ensure CQC compliance of waste management, medicines management and infection prevention control
- To ensure clinical waste management is maintained by daily emptying and replacement of orange sacks in consultant and treatment rooms
