About the Job:
- Check and prepare patients for treatment by qualified staff
- Perform simple non-aseptic dressings
- Collect specimens
- Supervise, where appropriate, less experienced health care assistants
- Perform intermittent catheterisation, record and report outcome to a trained nurse
- Perform and record vital observations and report findings to a trained nurse
- Perform bowel management for patients; record and report outcomes to a trained nurse
- Perform tracheal suction for patients who require domiciliary ventilation under supervision of trained nurses.
- Apply brace and splints as necessary
- Perform hoisting and transferring safely of a patient from: bed chair commode.
